Liner notes
I wrote these two in the long middle of the winter, when the nights in Montreal felt like they had no edges. One came from a late ferry crossing, the engines humming under my feet, and the other from a corridor on the fourth floor where I sat waiting with a paper cup of tea going cold. I kept the sounds small and glassy on purpose, close to the microphone, so it feels like someone speaking softly in the dark so as not to wake the city. These are the first things I ever put out under my own name, and they're the quiet start of the album I'm still building.
