Liner notes

This one is about the neighbors: the teacher who left the music-room door unlocked, the stranger who shares an umbrella, the shop that stays lit at ten. I wanted a record that felt like a good block sounds. We tracked it at the Detroit studio with the full horn section standing in a circle and me in the middle, and I got to practice the thing I'm proudest of, which is leaving room.
