Corner Booth / Flour on the Windowsill

by Pale Harbour

Two small-hours sketches of Glasgow, one in a neon-lit cafe and one in a bakery at dawn, made before we knew what our sound was.

Tracks

  1. 1. Corner Booth, Coffee RefillThis one came from a late night in a cafe with the neon buzzing and the rain on the glass. We wanted it to feel like a refill you never have to ask for.jazzy lo-fi, late-night3:50
  2. 2. Flour on the WindowsillI wrote the words walking home at four in the morning past the bakery with its light on. It's the most hopeful thing we've done, and it still makes me hungry.bedroom pop, dreamy lo-fi, warm4:32

Liner notes

We wrote these two in the weeks after the storm-cancelled gig, when we were still figuring out what four friends from a college radio station could sound like together. We kept turning the amps down and the reverb up, recording late at night with the rain on the windows. Neither song is fully shoegaze yet, they're softer and more sleepy than we'd become, but they're where the fog first rolled in.
