Strobe Cathedral

by Dani Orbit & the Pulse

A cathedral of strobes: bigger rooms, longer builds, and light as the main instrument.

Liner notes

By 2017 we were playing rooms with ceilings, and Strobe Cathedral is what that sounded like to us. We recorded in a disused church hall with the modular case on the altar steps. The breakdowns got longer, the acid bass got meaner and the kick still never lets go. Many of these songs are about light: beams, bulbs, lamps going dark and coming back. I sang them as if the whole nave were listening.
