Liner notes
After the tape got passed around, folks started writing me letters, and one of them was from a fellow who'd run a river ferry since sixty-two. He said the radio was the only passenger who never complained. I wanted something with a little more sway than my weepers, a tune you could two-step to on the dock, with the barbershop-style harmonies bouncing along behind. It's still an old man's song, but this one's got a grin on its face.
