Weather Diaries

by Seraphina Aldous

A song cycle that follows one year of weather through rooms, streets and the people missing from them.

Liner notes

I kept a diary for a year, but instead of dates I wrote down the weather and what it made me remember. Storms became songs about courage, boxes in a hallway became songs about leaving. Weather Diaries is the record where I stopped apologising for being a soprano who writes about fog. The piano is still the spine, but you will hear the first hints of strings at the edges.
