Liner notes
This is the one the neighbour caught on tape in the barn, the night I wasn't sure anybody wanted to hear an old piano tuner sing. I wrote it after clearing out Daddy's shed: a dead truck, two busted chairs, a coffee can of screws. Turns out those screws held more of the family together than I ever figured. We cut it close to how it sounded that night, a little rough around the edges, with the quartet harmonies leaning in behind me like folks on a church pew.
