Liner notes
I wrote this one in the first weeks of that long winter, when the sun was gone by three and the flat felt very small. I found an old shoebox on the top shelf, and the song fell out of it more or less whole. I recorded it late at night with the piano turned down so I wouldn't wake the neighbours, and I kept the little mistakes in because they sounded like me. It was the first song I ever shared with anyone.
