Their story
A-Lan started out in 2016 playing open-mic nights at a Tainan coffee shop while working shifts at her aunt's breakfast stand. Her self-recorded EP 《机车雨天》 passed quietly from hand to hand around Taiwanese campuses, and her first full album 《打电话回家》 (2018) made her a livehouse regular in Taipei. Later records 《慢慢骑》 and 《巷口的灯》 deepened her plainspoken, conversational style and brought festival stages in the south. She now splits her time between Taipei and Tainan, still writing most songs on the back of the scooter she refuses to replace.
Influences: 90s Taiwanese campus folk, bedroom cassette pop, rainy-day radio ballads, scooter-commute daydreams
