Their story
Qing Luan studied pipa as a child in Shenzhen, then taught herself production on a secondhand laptop and released her first sampled-pipa EP in 2017. Her albums 《夜班车》 (2019) and 《电子山河》 (2022) turned looped pipa and glitchy beats into a signature sound for night commuters. She produces everything herself and describes her music as ancient poetry for the night bus.
