Their story
Shanhai Echo formed in a Kunming rehearsal room in 2022, bringing together post-rock guitarists and a hulusi player from Dali. Their debut album 《云上》 (2023) used long instrumental builds under mythic lyrics, and their follow-up 《雷泽》 (2025) won them a dedicated live following. They are now one of the loudest voices in the newer guofeng scene.
