Lyrics
Nine long months and a morning sky Here you are with your first hello cry Grandma's laughing, Daddy's too Everybody's waiting for you Welcome to the world, little sunshine Every door is open, you're a gift of mine Welcome to the world, little sunshine Born on a morning when the sky said fine Welcome, welcome, little sunshine Tiny socks and a woollen hat Who would ever have dreamed of that Neighbours knocking with a pot of stew The whole street is singing for you Welcome to the world, little sunshine Every door is open, you're a gift of mine Welcome to the world, little sunshine Born on a morning when the sky said fine Welcome, welcome, little sunshine Thank you, Lord, for this little one Thank you for the rising sun Thank you for the hands that hold Warmer than a heart of gold Welcome to the world, little sunshine Every door is open, you're a gift of mine Welcome to the world, little sunshine Born on a morning when the sky said fine Welcome, welcome, little sunshine Welcome, little sunshine Welcome home
