Lyrics
Pull up to the entrance, got a ticket in my hand Dust on the dashboard, road salt on the land Soap on the windshield, foam on the hood Put it in neutral, let the conveyor do the good Blue light, pink light, rolling down the glass Brushes in a rhythm like a drummer in the mass Hands off the wheel, yeah, I let it ride Three minutes of peace with my whole crew inside Rinse off the week now Let it all run down Car wash tunnel glow Neon on the chrome, watch it shine and flow Everything I carried, let the water take it slow Car wash tunnel glow Roll out clean, roll out gold Fresh as the first day, ready for the road Big spinning rollers like a dance floor crew Bubbles on the side mirror, every shade of blue Kid in the back seat pressing on the glass Laughing at the monster that is washing off the gas Mom in the front seat sings along with me Radio up loud, that's a family symphony Sticky little fingerprints, all gone by noon Hear the dryers roaring like a bass drum tune Rinse off the week now Let it all run down Car wash tunnel glow Neon on the chrome, watch it shine and flow Everything I carried, let the water take it slow Car wash tunnel glow Roll out clean, roll out gold Fresh as the first day, ready for the road Light turns green at the end of the line Sun on the paint and it's looking so fine Pulling to the vacuum, grab a quarter or two Shake out the floor mats, good as new Nothing in the cup holder but a little loose change Everything feels lighter, yeah, the whole day rearranged Cars in the rearview, waiting for their turn Wave to the stranger, let them take their turn Sometimes you just need a tunnel A little bit of dark, then a whole lot of light Wash it all away, wash it all away And roll on out into the night Car wash tunnel glow Neon on the chrome, watch it shine and flow Everything I carried, let the water take it slow Car wash tunnel glow Roll out clean, roll out gold Fresh as the first day, ready for the road Roll out clean, roll out gold Car wash tunnel glow
