Red Lights Is Red Lights
by Dre Santos
“Traffic never felt so good to me; I wanted brake lights to look like a runway and the whole drive to feel like a victory lap. It's the sunset car-stereo song I always wanted to ride to.”

Lyrics
Bumper to bumper, the sun going low Brake lights glowing like a runway show Coffee getting cold in the cup holder Playlist on shuffle, I'm a boss in the folder Guy in the next lane singing off key Doing his best, and that's fine by me Merge like a gentleman, wave when you're let in Patience is a flex, now watch me grin Can't speed up the sky Can't make the lanes fly Red lights is red lights, let it ride Windows down, got the whole city by my side Red lights is red lights, take your time Nowhere I'm late to when the beat is mine Red lights is red lights, let it ride Kid in the back seat drawing on the glass Taxi to my left tryna cut and pass Sunset on the overpass, orange and pink Gave me a minute to breathe and think Text can wait, yeah, the text can wait Ain't no promotion worth a crash at the gate Bass in the trunk, but I keep it kind Peace in the dashboard, peace of mind Can't speed up the sky Can't make the lanes fly Red lights is red lights, let it ride Windows down, got the whole city by my side Red lights is red lights, take your time Nowhere I'm late to when the beat is mine Red lights is red lights, let it ride Hands on the wheel, ten and two Slow it down, let the song come through Every horn is just a drum in the mix Every stop is a chance to fix The mood Light turns green and the whole street sighs One car at a time, we all arrive Home by dark with the radio loud Dex in the speakers, I'm in the crowd Roll the last mile like a victory lap Porch light on, and I'm tapping the dash Traffic taught me what the clock never could The long way round can still be good Red lights is red lights, let it ride Windows down, got the whole city by my side Red lights is red lights, take your time Nowhere I'm late to when the beat is mine Red lights is red lights, let it ride
