Lyrics
A postcard on the mat Blue sea and a stamp Your writing leans to the right Smells like salt and lamp Wish you were here Wish you were here Postcard on the shelf Far away but near Seven words on the back The sun is warm today I read it in the dark And the miles melt away Wish you were here Wish you were here Postcard on the shelf Far away but near Echo, echo Come across the water Echo, echo Come home slow I stand it by the lamp Where the morning light can see A little square of sea Keeping watch for me Wish you were here Wish you were here Postcard on the shelf Far away but near Wish you were here Far away but near
