Lyrics
The lights are off, the dancehall sleeping Speaker boxes standing tall Dust upon the turntable, silence in the hall Once the floor was shaking, now I hear the echo call Echo, echo, empty dancehall Bass still ringing in the wall Echo, echo, memories fall Soft like rain upon us all Ghosts of dancers in the shadows Moving slow across the floor Every song we played here, it lives forever more Though the doors are closing, still I feel you at the door Echo, echo, empty dancehall Bass still ringing in the wall Echo, echo, memories fall Soft like rain upon us all Hush now, hush now, let the echo play Hush now, hush now, night is turning grey The needle lifts, the music fades away But the bass remembers, the bass will stay When the morning finds me sweeping Paper cups and coloured light I will hum the rhythm one more time tonight Carry all the love we made and keep it burning bright Echo, echo, empty dancehall Bass still ringing in the wall Echo, echo, memories fall Soft like rain upon us all Echo, echo, echo The bass remembers, the bass will stay
