Lyrics
The curtains next door are gone The window is a square of sky Five years of walls between us And we only ever said hi Goodbye, neighbour, goodbye I never learned your name Goodbye, neighbour, goodbye The hallway sounds the same I heard your kettle every night I heard your footsteps on the stair Now the quiet has a shape Of someone who was there Goodbye, neighbour, goodbye I never learned your name Goodbye, neighbour, goodbye The hallway sounds the same Maybe you heard my music too Maybe you hummed along Two strangers keeping company Through one thin wall, all night long Goodbye, neighbour, goodbye I never learned your name Goodbye, neighbour, goodbye The hallway sounds the same Goodbye, neighbour, goodbye Goodbye, neighbour, goodbye
