“This is my thank-you to anything that grows slowly and still shows up. I wanted it to feel like a small parade for one tomato.”

Lyrics
Planted it in spring in a chipped old pot Talked to it daily, said you've got what it takes Watered it at sunrise, moved it to the light Waited a whole season for a little red delight Green, green, green Then I saw it gleam Tomato plant triumph, look at you go One little tomato in the morning glow Tomato plant triumph, I'm so proud Calling all the neighbours, gonna shout it loud Showed it to the postman, showed it to my mum Took a hundred photos, still not done Sliced it on a sandwich with a pinch of salt Best small victory, and I know it's not my fault Green, green, green Then I saw it gleam Tomato plant triumph, look at you go One little tomato in the morning glow Tomato plant triumph, I'm so proud Calling all the neighbours, gonna shout it loud Good things grow when you give them time Patience tastes like sun and thyme Dig a little, hope a lot Take what grows and share the lot Tomato plant triumph, look at you go One little tomato in the morning glow Tomato plant triumph, I'm so proud Calling all the neighbours, gonna shout it loud Tomato plant triumph, red and round Best thing growing in the whole town
