Lyrics
Set a place for the wanderer Bread on the table, light in the door Ten long years he walked the road Now he's coming home once more Rise up, rise up, welcome home No one walks this road alone Rise up, rise up, open wide Every child comes home to the family side Mother's hands are shaking soft Father stands up straight and tall Little ones run down the lane Shouting, he's home, that's all Rise up, rise up, welcome home No one walks this road alone Rise up, rise up, open wide Every child comes home to the family side Pass the plate, pass the cup Give thanks, give thanks Lift the heart and lift it up Give thanks, give thanks Old man tells the stories long Young ones listen, sing along Gone is the sorrow, gone is the pain Love comes round like the morning rain Rise up, rise up, welcome home No one walks this road alone Rise up, rise up, open wide Every child comes home to the family side Welcome home Welcome home
