Lyrics
Round and silver on the roof Standing in the rain Every drop a little drum On the hollow metal frame I lie awake and listen To the music of the sky Drum, drum, soft rain drum Sing me down to sleep Water tank on the rooftop Keeping the night in its keep Drum, drum, soft rain drum Sing me down to sleep Pipes are humming in the wall The city's far below Every roof a sleeping drum In the soft and silver flow I close my eyes and count them One by one by one Drum, drum, soft rain drum Sing me down to sleep Water tank on the rooftop Keeping the night in its keep Drum, drum, soft rain drum Sing me down to sleep Nothing to fix tonight Nothing to say The rain has all the words And it takes the rest away Drum, drum, soft rain drum Sing me down to sleep Water tank on the rooftop Keeping the night in its keep Drum, drum, soft rain drum Sing me down to sleep Drum, soft drum Sleep Sleep
