Lyrics
Gown on my back Cap on my head Mama in the third row Crying happy tears instead Four long years Of the midnight oil Now the doors swing open After all that toil Throw your cap in the air Hey, hey, hey Everybody's cheering It's graduation day Throw your cap in the air Hey, hey, hey Walk across the stage And dance the ska away Name is called out loud I hear the crowd Papa in his Sunday suit Standing tall and proud Handshake, paper, smile A moment held so tight Little brother whistling From the back all night Throw your cap in the air Hey, hey, hey Everybody's cheering It's graduation day Throw your cap in the air Hey, hey, hey Walk across the stage And dance the ska away Teachers, friends, and family Clap your hands with me Every step we took Led to where we need to be Tomorrow there's a job to find A road to roll But today we celebrate With body and soul Horns are blowing Feet are on the floor Graduate, graduate Come on, give us more Throw your cap in the air Hey, hey, hey Everybody's cheering It's graduation day Throw your cap in the air Hey, hey, hey Walk across the stage And dance the ska away
