Lyrics
A lamp on the bridge in the frosty air Wears a halo of silver there The river below is slow and deep The whole wide city is half asleep Glow, bridge lamp, glow In the blue before the dawn Glow, bridge lamp, glow Keep the night till morning's come Frost on the railing, frost on the glass Footsteps echo and softly pass I stop beneath your circle of light And breathe out clouds in the quiet night Glow, bridge lamp, glow In the blue before the dawn Glow, bridge lamp, glow Keep the night till morning's come Everything is silver now Every breath a slow cloud Nothing is hurried, nothing is loud The river hums, the lamp is proud Soon the sky will turn to rose And the lamp will fade and close But I will carry your little glow Home along the road I know Glow, bridge lamp, glow In the blue before the dawn Glow, bridge lamp, glow Keep the night till morning's come Glow, bridge lamp Keep the night till morning's come
