Lyrics
Midnight in the house The clock is loud Floorboards creaking Under a restless cloud I cannot sleep My feet won't stay Something is calling From far away Walk the floor, walk the floor Let the bass roll slow Restless heart, restless heart Where do you want to go Echo in the dark Echo in the night Walk the floor till morning Bring the light Kettle on the stove The window's cold Street lamp humming A story half told I count the stars I count the sheep The whole world's turning While I can't sleep Walk the floor, walk the floor Let the bass roll slow Restless heart, restless heart Where do you want to go Echo in the dark Echo in the night Walk the floor till morning Bring the light Hush now, hush now Let the echo fade Hush now, hush now Nothing to be afraid Grey comes to the glass The birds begin The restless feeling Is wearing thin One more cup One more prayer Morning is coming I'll meet it there Walk the floor, walk the floor Let the bass roll slow Restless heart, restless heart Now you're ready to go Echo in the dark Echo in the night Walked the floor till morning Here comes the light
