Liner notes

This is the record where I wrote the most letters, the real kind, and the songs came out of them. It's about reaching toward people: calling an old friend, writing back by Sunday, opening every window when spring arrives. I ended it the way I end my shows, with a breath before the sound starts. The unaccompanied verse at the end of the tour is where I learned to trust that quiet.
