Sunlit Porch

by Bramble & Rye

Ten small songs sung on the steps of a rented cottage, with harmonies learned from sixties radio and a kettle always on.

Liner notes

We wrote these on the porch of the cottage outside Bath, mostly with cold hands round warm mugs. Posy found the harmonies, I found the chords, and the hedgerow found us a name. We recorded it in a few weekends with the windows open, so if you hear a blackbird, that's him joining in. It's a record about boats, bunting and walking home the long way, and we hope it feels like a porch to sit on.
