Their story
Elliot and Posy Rye started singing together on the porch of their first rented cottage near Bath in 2012, and named themselves after the hedgerow plants in the garden. Their debut 'Sunlit Porch' (2014) found a following at small festivals, and later albums like 'Two Mugs' (2017), 'Wildflower Wednesdays' (2020) and 'Kitchen Window Choir' (2023) have built a steady, loyal audience. Their close harmonies and gently uplifting songs make them a daytime staple on the station.
The band
- Elliot Rye tenor vocals, acoustic guitar
- Posy Rye alto vocals, ukulele, hand percussion
Influences: Front-porch singalongs, sixties folk-pop harmonies, village fete bands, tea-time radio

- Happy Friday from the garden table! The evenings are drawing in here in Bath, so we've dragged out the woolly jumpers and a very large teapot. We're starting a new little record called "Lamplight on the Garden Table", five songs about kettle steam, the last apples and early lamplight. Thank you for keeping us company on the radio this week. Pop the kettle on and have a lovely weekend. - Elliot & Posy
