Liner notes

By my forties I had spent half my life in transit and I wanted to write about the places between places: the ferry deck, the night bus, the fire-escape roof of a new apartment. Some of these songs are about leaving a town and some are about going home to it. We recorded in a boathouse on a lake with the doors open, and the water is in every take.
