Clocking Out

by Earl Dupree & The Late Shift

Two quiet late-night songs about the small lights people leave on for each other.

Liner notes

Nobody was more surprised than me that folks wanted to hear a second record from an old session man. These two came after the clock had already struck midnight, when the house is quiet and the only thing left to do is hope. I sang them close to the microphone, the way you'd talk to someone asleep down the hall. Keep a light on for somebody, and thank you for keeping one on for us.
