Their story
Lil Tempo and Skye met in 2017 at a talent night, where his rapid-fire verse and her soaring hook turned a throwaway freestyle into a viral clip. They teamed up with producer DJ Pocket and released the 'Rush Hour' mixtape in 2018, followed by the breakout 2020 album 'Green Light Season', which made them regulars on afternoon playlists. 2023's 'Overdrive' pushed their sound toward bigger synth stabs and stadium-sized choruses. They still write every hook as a chant that a car full of people can shout back.
The band

Latest from Lil Tempo & Skye
- Skye here, with Tempo hollering over my shoulder. Fresh Laces, First Day is sitting at #16 in this week's Top 40, and we're so grateful to everybody who's been shouting that hook in the car! We just kicked off a new EP called Last Bell Anthems: five pep-rally chants for the drive home, with DJ Pocket cooking up the biggest synth stabs yet. Friday afternoon is our favorite time of the week, so roll the windows down and turn it up!
