Liner notes

This is the record where we look back and forward at the same time. A sixteen-year-old with his dad in the passenger seat, an open mic with shaking hands, the first warm weekend of spring, a hurricane the block survived together, and finally a tunnel opening up onto thirty thousand voices. We still write every hook as a chant a car full of people can shout back, and the last song is literally a phone call from the cousin who's far away, because that's who we're singing for anyway.
