Lyrics
One o'clock and the kitchen light is on Kettle on the stove, there's a quiet song Socks on the tile, hoodie on my skin Can't sleep, so I'm letting the night in Toast is in the toaster, honey on the side Out the window city lights glide You wander in barefoot, hair a mess Ask me what I'm thinking, I say nothing less Than this little moment Just us and the hum Kitchen light at one Warm as a setting sun Two mugs, no rush, nothing to be done Kitchen light at one Sweet little night has just begun Stay a while, it's only one Fridge hums low like a bass line Steam on the glass, your hand in mine Talking about nothing, laughing way too quiet Midnight snack is the best kind of diet Neighbor's window glowing, someone's up as well Everyone's got a kitchen with a story to tell Rain starts tapping on the sill The whole wide world is standing still Than this little moment Just us and the hum Kitchen light at one Warm as a setting sun Two mugs, no rush, nothing to be done Kitchen light at one Sweet little night has just begun Stay a while, it's only one Tomorrow's got a list a mile long But tonight we hum along Nothing here to prove Just a slow and gentle groove Kitchen light at one Warm as a setting sun Two mugs, no rush, nothing to be done Kitchen light at one Sweet little night has just begun Stay a while, it's only one Kitchen light, kitchen light Stay a while tonight
