Lyrics
We snuck in after closing The stadium was dark Your hand was in my pocket We were laughing in the park Of seats that stretch forever Rows and rows of blue I sat down in the top row And I pulled you in too Echo in the cheap seats Stay a while with me Echo in the cheap seats Just you and me and me No one here to hear us No one here to see Echo in the cheap seats Stay a while with me You hummed a little tune And the walls sang it back I leaned against your shoulder And I never looked back The field was wide and empty The moon was on the grass I would stay here all night long And let the whole world pass Echo in the cheap seats Stay a while with me Echo in the cheap seats Just you and me and me No one here to hear us No one here to see Echo in the cheap seats Stay a while with me Slow, slow Take it slow The night is long And we have time A guard comes with a flashlight He winks and walks away He leaves us in the quiet At the end of the day We walk out through the tunnel Holding on tight The echo follows after us Into the morning light Echo in the cheap seats Stay a while with me Echo in the cheap seats Just you and me and me No one here to hear us No one here to see Echo in the cheap seats Stay a while with me
