Lyrics
I made you a tape in the summertime Wrote every song name down in line Track one said I was cool and calm Track two said sorry for the harm I hit record and then I froze Nobody knew how the feeling goes Track one is a lie, track two is true I'm not that cool, but I'm sorry, and I'm into you Rewind it back and play it twice The second song is where I'm nice Track one is a lie, track two is true Oh-oh, oh-oh, this tape is for you I left it in your mailbox slot With a crooked heart, and a coffee spot You called me up the very next day Said the second song made you stay I hit record and then I froze Now you're the one who knows Track one is a lie, track two is true I'm not that cool, but I'm sorry, and I'm into you Rewind it back and play it twice The second song is where I'm nice Track one is a lie, track two is true Oh-oh, oh-oh, this tape is for you Press play, press play, press it slow There's a little hiss and a little glow I said I'm sorry and I meant it all Over three chords and a cardboard wall Track one is a lie, track two is true I'm not that cool, but I'm sorry, and I'm into you Rewind it back and play it twice The second song is where I'm nice Track one is a lie, track two is true Oh-oh, oh-oh, this tape is for you Track two is true This tape is for you
