Lyrics
My watch stopped working today I put it on the shelf The kitchen clock is slow So I don't check it myself The kettle's on the stove The window's open wide No place that I must be Just a quiet kitchen side Clock stopped, kettle on Nowhere to be at all Clock stopped, kettle on Let the afternoon fall I don't need to know the hour I don't need to run Clock stopped, kettle on Easy, easy, done The cat is on the chair The rain is on the glass A song is on the radio Let the minutes pass I sip my tea so slow The steam goes curling up Nobody calls my name I just fill my cup Clock stopped, kettle on Nowhere to be at all Clock stopped, kettle on Let the afternoon fall I don't need to know the hour I don't need to run Clock stopped, kettle on Easy, easy, done Tick, tick, nothing Tick, tick, still I'm right here, right now And I always will Clock stopped, kettle on Nowhere to be at all Clock stopped, kettle on Let the afternoon fall I don't need to know the hour I don't need to run Clock stopped, kettle on Easy, easy, done Kettle on Easy, easy, done
