Lyrics
Hotel hallway, carpet deep Every guest is fast asleep Brass keys jingle on my belt Soft as the stars I've felt Sleep, you're safe, I'm walking by Lamps are low and the doors are shut Sleep, you're safe, under this sky Sleep, you're safe tonight Lift doors sigh and the clock ticks on Rain on the window until the dawn Strangers dreaming of the sea Far from home and close to me Sleep, you're safe, I'm walking by Lamps are low and the doors are shut Sleep, you're safe, under this sky Sleep, you're safe tonight Every room a little world Every light a little prayer I pass them all on quiet feet And leave my kindness there Coffee cooling at the desk The city outside is soft and blurred I will watch until the light Whispers a new day Sleep, you're safe, I'm walking by Lamps are low and the doors are shut Sleep, you're safe, under this sky Sleep, you're safe tonight Sleep, you're safe tonight
