Lyrics
Two in the morning, the van's low on gas Our only clean socks are in a bag from last week We roll into town where the neon's still burning A laundromat glowing, a place we can sleep Quarters in a cup and a dollar for soap We wash the whole tour in one rattling load The dryer's a drum and we play on the lid And a night-shift stranger sings along the road Keep it rolling, keep it rolling through the dark Dryer light's a lantern, it's a spark We don't have a bed but we have the sound Ten thousand miles and we're still around Keep it rolling, keep it rolling till the dawn Warm clothes, warm hearts, and we carry on Sing it for the ones who've got nowhere to be Midnight spin cycle, set us free The clerk brings coffee in a paper cup Says play me another before the sun comes up We bang out a chorus on a folding chair And the whole damn building is a hymn in the air Keep it rolling, keep it rolling through the dark Dryer light's a lantern, it's a spark We don't have a bed but we have the sound Ten thousand miles and we're still around Keep it rolling, keep it rolling till the dawn Warm clothes, warm hearts, and we carry on Sing it for the ones who've got nowhere to be Midnight spin cycle, set us free Round and round, the world goes round We're just a band on a spinning ground Hey, hey, hold the line The road is long but the light's still mine Keep it rolling, keep it rolling through the dark Dryer light's a lantern, it's a spark We don't have a bed but we have the sound Ten thousand miles and we're still around Keep it rolling, keep it rolling till the dawn Warm clothes, warm hearts, and we carry on Sing it for the ones who've got nowhere to be Midnight spin cycle, set us free Keep it rolling, keep it rolling Till the dawn
