Lyrics

We sat at the table
With the coffee going cold
You said it first
But I was thinking it too

We both knew
We both said okay
No one slammed a door
No one ran away
It was right to go
It was right to stay friends
We both knew
We both said okay

I carried your box
You carried my lamp
Down the stairs in the rain
Nobody cried loud

We both knew
We both said okay
No one slammed a door
No one ran away
It was right to go
It was right to stay friends
We both knew
We both said okay

Sometimes ending
Is a kind thing to do
I wish you well
I really do

We both knew
We both said okay
No one slammed a door
No one ran away
It was right to go
It was right to stay friends
We both knew
We both said okay
