Lyrics
The ferry hums across the water black I turn my pockets out, there's no key back The key to the door of the house we share I dropped it somewhere between here and there But a lantern shines on the far dock wall And you are waving, that is all Hold the light, I am coming home Hold the light, you're not alone I lost the key but I found the way Back to you at the end of the day Hold the light, I am coming home The wind is cold but the engine is slow The city is glowing with the lights below I do not need a key to be let in You open the door with a smile and a grin And the lantern shines on the far dock wall And you are waving, that is all Hold the light, I am coming home Hold the light, you're not alone I lost the key but I found the way Back to you at the end of the day Hold the light, I am coming home Slow, slow, across the sea Warm, warm, waiting for me Every wave says you are near Every wave says I am here Hold the light, I am coming home Hold the light, you're not alone I lost the key but I found the way Back to you at the end of the day Hold the light, I am coming home Hold the light I am coming home
