Lyrics
In the pocket of my winter coat A picture folded small Your face against the window light The best one of them all I carry you with me Close against my heart I carry you with me Even when we're apart Corners soft from all the walks Through the cold and rain Every time I touch it I feel you once again I carry you with me Close against my heart I carry you with me Even when we're apart Distance is a long grey road But I have this to hold A small bright square of summer Warm against the cold When I reach the door tonight I'll set it by the lamp And let your quiet smiling Make the room feel less damp I carry you with me Close against my heart I carry you with me Even when we're apart Even when we're apart Even when we're apart
