The Slow Bloom

by Odalys Fern

A winter that slowly thaws: frost, breath on glass, letters and goodbyes unfolding like a late bloom.

  10. 10. Kind Goodbye, Porch Light OffWe sat up late and told the truth and nobody shouted. I closed the record on the kindest ending I could imagine.tender ambient, choral pop4:19

Liner notes

I took four years and a lot of cold mornings to make this one. The songs start in frost and gradually let the light in, the way a bud opens when you aren't looking. It's the fullest choir I've ever stacked, every layer sung by me, and I tried to make the silence between them part of the arrangement. If Window Hours was looking out, this is waiting for spring.
