Lyrics
Down the alley where the lamplight leans A saxophone sings to the bricks Tip jar sitting by a pair of old shoes Playing out the late night mix He taps his foot like a metronome Slow and easy, nothing to prove Every note is a warm little room And the whole cold street can move Drop one in the jar Sway along to the sound Nothing here to chase The groove will come around Drop one in the jar Let the night go slow Easy does it, friend The music runs the show A couple stops to dance in the drizzle A cab driver hums along Nobody needs to say a word When the whole alley knows the song Drop one in the jar Sway along to the sound Nothing here to chase The groove will come around Drop one in the jar Let the night go slow Easy does it, friend The music runs the show Low and smooth Soft and round Feel the beat Feel the sound Drop one in the jar Sway along to the sound Nothing here to chase The groove will come around Drop one in the jar Let the night go slow Easy does it, friend The music runs the show Easy does it, friend The music runs the show
