Lyrics
The fire's going in the iron stove The kettle starts to sing Snow against the window glass And the whole house listening Boots are drying by the door A dog sleeps on my feet The hammer's resting on the wall And the evening is complete Hearth light, hammer down Warm light in the cold town Hearth light, hold me tight We'll be strong again tonight Oh, the fire's burning, and I'm home Hearth light, hammer down There's soup on the stove, there's bread to break There's laughter in the hall The hands that built the world today Are folded, and that is all No need for thunder in this room No need to prove a thing The glow of the fire is all the crown That a tired heart should bring Hearth light, hammer down Warm light in the cold town Hearth light, hold me tight We'll be strong again tonight Oh, the fire's burning, and I'm home Hearth light, hammer down Let the wind howl on Let the night grow long The walls are strong And I belong Hold the light Hold the light Hearth light, hammer down Warm light in the cold town Hearth light, hold me tight We'll be strong again tonight Oh, the fire's burning, and I'm home Hearth light, hammer down Hammer down Hearth light, hammer down
