Lyrics
I sang at your wedding, honey In a borrowed satin dress The band was tuned a little flat But who could ever guess You walked in on your father's arm And the room went hushed and still And I knew right then and there This was love, and always will Something borrowed, something blue Something old and something new A little blue note in the evening air Says love is always there Something borrowed, something blue Here's a song just for you Hold on tight when the dancing's done Two hearts beating as one He held you like a promise He spun you round the floor Your mother wiped her happy tears Your sister called for more The cake was lopsided and sweet The candles all burned low And somebody's old uncle sang A song we all know Something borrowed, something blue Something old and something new A little blue note in the evening air Says love is always there Something borrowed, something blue Here's a song just for you Hold on tight when the dancing's done Two hearts beating as one Years from now when the room is quiet And the last guest has gone home Put this song on softly And you'll never be alone Something borrowed, something blue Something old and something new A little blue note in the evening air Says love is always there Something borrowed, something blue Here's a song just for you Hold on tight when the dancing's done Two hearts beating as one Something borrowed Something blue Here's a song for you
