Lyrics
Up the stairs, round and round Lamp is lit above the town He keeps the light, I keep the tea Salt wind knocking, he waits for me Turn the light for me, turn it slow Show me the way, I know where to go Turn the light for me, turn it bright Keeper of the lamp, hold me tonight Boats come in from the dark blue sea Every one of them sails to see That steady beam, that golden glow Same as his smile, steady and slow Turn the light for me, turn it slow Show me the way, I know where to go Turn the light for me, turn it bright Keeper of the lamp, hold me tonight Round and round, round and round Love is a light that never goes down Morning comes, he blows it out Kettle sings and the gulls shout Sleep now, love, the sea is calm Rest your head on my arm Turn the light for me, turn it slow Show me the way, I know where to go Turn the light for me, turn it bright Keeper of the lamp, hold me tonight Turn the light, turn the light Keeper of the lamp, goodnight
