Lyrics
A postcard on the kitchen shelf My boy across the sea Writes he's working hard and well And thinking of his family Mountains on the picture side Cold wind in his hand He says the work is long and wide But he is standing like a man Lift up your voice, my son The road is long but you are strong Lift up your voice, my son Home is singing you along I read it twice and read it more Hold it to the light Pride sits quiet by the door Prayer goes up tonight Lift up your voice, my son The road is long but you are strong Lift up your voice, my son Home is singing you along Mail will come and mail will go But love is always near One more morning, steady, slow I will hold you here Lift up your voice, my son The road is long but you are strong Lift up your voice, my son Home is singing you along Home is singing you along Home is singing you along
