Liner notes

Seven albums in, I wanted to sing about the small ceremonies: the first pay packet, a letter from my son abroad, a power cut that turned the whole street into a choir. We settled into the breakfast slot on the radio around then, and the songs got warmer to match. Joy needs no reason, and neither does a good bassline.
