Lyrics
Wheels hit the runway with a roar I have been counting down the hours Seven thousand miles of cloud and sky And my heart is out in front Down the long hall Past the glass and the sign Gate twelve thunder Open the doors I am coming home to you Gate twelve thunder Open the doors Everybody get out of the way I am coming home to you Bag on my shoulder and a long grey coat Running past the people with their phones There is a banner and a crowd of kids And one small face that I know Down the long hall Past the glass and the sign Gate twelve thunder Open the doors I am coming home to you Gate twelve thunder Open the doors Everybody get out of the way I am coming home to you Put the bag down Open your arms Put the bag down Open your arms Lift me off the floor Gate twelve thunder Open the doors I am home, I am home Gate twelve thunder Open the doors Everybody sing it loud I am coming home to you
