Lyrics
The lift doors close behind me And the hallway stretches wide Every door a closed-up story With a light on the other side I tap the key card on the lock It blinks a little green The room is cool and quiet And the bed is neat and clean Key card in the dark, doors along the hall I'm walking toward the morning Whatever may befall Key card in the dark, doors along the hall Far away from home tonight But I'm standing very tall I call you on the video Your face lights up my screen You hold the cat up to the lens The sweetest thing I've seen Key card in the dark, doors along the hall I'm walking toward the morning Whatever may befall Key card in the dark, doors along the hall Far away from home tonight But I'm standing very tall Tomorrow there's a meeting And a train that I must catch But tonight I'm in the warm glow Of a love that is a match Key card in the dark, doors along the hall I'm walking toward the morning Whatever may befall Key card in the dark, doors along the hall Far away from home tonight But I'm standing very tall Doors along the hall Doors along the hall
