Lyrics
Your light comes on at half past ten Across the narrow lane I watch you water something small Behind the window pane Goodnight, window, goodnight I never said hello Goodnight, window, goodnight But I'm glad you're there, you know You wave once at the dark Maybe you wave at me Two people far from anyone Sharing company Goodnight, window, goodnight I never said hello Goodnight, window, goodnight But I'm glad you're there, you know Some people never meet And still they keep the night One small yellow square of warmth Is somebody's good light Goodnight, window, goodnight I never said hello Goodnight, window, goodnight But I'm glad you're there, you know Goodnight, window Goodnight
