Lyrics
We packed the dawn into a suitcase We left the unmade beds behind There's nothing here that holds us any longer There's something out there we must find Open the window, let the wind come in Let the restless part of us begin The road is wide and so are we Wide as the sky, wide as the sea Nothing to hold us, nothing to bind us Only the horizon calling us on The road is wide and so are we Sing it out, let the whole world see We are the ones who go looking for morning We are the ones who are singing along The hills roll over like a sleeper The signs are counting down the miles We've got no map but we have each other And every bend a different smile Open the window, let the wind come in Let the restless part of us begin The road is wide and so are we Wide as the sky, wide as the sea Nothing to hold us, nothing to bind us Only the horizon calling us on The road is wide and so are we Sing it out, let the whole world see We are the ones who go looking for morning We are the ones who are singing along And if the evening finds us tired And if the night is long There's always one more mile of light And one more verse of song The road is wide and so are we Wide as the sky, wide as the sea Nothing to hold us, nothing to bind us Only the horizon calling us on The road is wide and so are we Sing it out, let the whole world see We are the ones who go looking for morning We are the ones who are singing along We are the ones who are singing along
